Description

The Alfaisis is a 50cm linear outdoor ground light housing 12 integrated LEDs behind a grey die-cast aluminium body, delivering 18W of warm 3000K light through circular apertures along its length. The fitting mounts on adjustable ground stakes at each end, allowing the bar to be angled from ground-level wash lighting up to approximately 45 degrees for facade uplighting or tree illumination.

Designed for landscape architectural lighting, the Alfaisis suits planting bed borders where light needs to graze along walls or fences, pathway edges requiring controlled spill, and ground-level uplighting for building facades, columns or mature tree canopies. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor installation in exposed UK weather including rain and frost, but not submersion.

The grey powder-coated finish on the die-cast aluminium housing resists corrosion and UV fading, and the low-profile 95mm projection keeps the fitting discreet when positioned against walls or within planting. Each of the 12 LED modules is fixed at the factory and cannot be individually replaced — when LEDs reach end-of-life the complete fitting is serviced under Ideal Lux's 5-year warranty. The non-dimmable driver requires mains power and the fitting should be wired through IP66-rated external junction boxes by a qualified electrician.

Can the Alfaisis be used in planting beds that get watered?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against low-pressure water jets from any direction, so garden irrigation, rain and hosing down paving around the fitting will not damage it. The fitting should not be submerged or installed where standing water collects.

Can the angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The bar pivots on the ground stakes, allowing the angle to be changed from ground-level wash to approximately 45 degrees upward. The stakes are designed to be repositioned if the lighting angle needs to change as planting matures.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

No. The 12 LED modules are integrated into the housing at the factory and cannot be individually replaced. The complete fitting is covered by a 5-year Ideal Lux warranty, and LED lifespan is typically 30,000+ hours of use.

What wiring is required?

The Alfaisis requires mains 230V AC supply and should be wired through IP66-rated external junction boxes. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations for outdoor fixed lighting.
