Description

These two round storage baskets are made of water hyacinth and wool, woven in a chunky plaited pattern in a warm, natural beige. Each carries its own stitched motif. The larger basket has a rainbow in soft arcs, while the smaller has a little mushroom, so the pair looks related without being identical. The larger basket is 32cm across and 32cm tall, roomy enough for a pile of soft toys, a spare blanket or a jumble of building blocks. The smaller is 26cm across and 26cm tall, a handier size for picture books, hair clips or a stack of folded vests.

They are made for a child's room, nursery or playroom, where toys tend to spread across the floor by teatime. Set the larger basket beside the bed or at the edge of a play mat, and tidying becomes a quick throwing game. The smaller one sits comfortably on a wardrobe shelf or a low bookcase, keeping knitwear, socks or bedtime stories together. Both baskets have a pair of woven loop handles at the rim, so either can be lifted and carried from the bedroom to the living room and back again.
