Adisa Glass Baubles in a Jar - Ruby & Copper - Set of 16

Sixteen small glass baubles in a lidded jar, in a deep ruby and a paler warm tone, with some in clear glass. The shapes vary across the set: round, pointed onion forms and ribbed ones. Each bauble carries a metal cap, a hanging ring and a brown velvet tie. The jar is 13cm tall and 11cm across, blown from recycled glass with a hammered surface, and the lid drops into the neck.

Ruby reads darker on a tree than gold or silver and wants light behind it rather than on it, so these sit better near a lamp or a run of lights than deep inside a branch. The brown ties carry the same warmth as the glass, which is unusual: most bauble ties are a contrast rather than a continuation. The jar is the storage as well as the packaging, so the set goes back into it in January.

Both the jar and the baubles are recycled glass, and the caps and rings are iron. Each bauble is hand blown, so the shape and the surface differ from one to the next. Adisa also runs in mixed colours, in antique silver, in antique gold and rust, and in a green and clear set.
