Description

Our Addy cup is a small green stoneware cup, 5.5cm across and 6.5cm tall, holding 130ml. That capacity makes it a child's cup rather than a mug: enough for a drink of milk, water or juice, and at 0.15KG it is light to lift. The body has gently rounded, slightly uneven sides and a softly wavy rim, and a chunky loop handle sits on one side, with room for small fingers. Flowers with boldly outlined petals are painted by hand around the body, bright against the glossy green glaze.

It belongs at the children's table: milk with breakfast, juice after school or something warm before bed. Made as children's tableware, it suits little hands, yet grown-ups will reach for it too when a short coffee or a small tea is all they want. Between meals it earns a place on an open shelf, a dresser or a playroom display, where the painted flowers bring a cheerful note to plainer crockery.
