This is a small, round stoneware plate in white, covered in a reactive glaze and flecked all over with a fine speckle. It measures 16cm across and 1.5cm tall, which makes it a side plate size: the one for toast at breakfast, a slice of cake with afternoon tea or bread beside a bowl of soup.
