Description
The Adastra UA240 is a compact 100V mixer-amplifier that packs a 5-input mixer into a half-width 1U housing. It gives you three switchable mic/line inputs, an RCA line input and a 3.5mm aux input, each with its own front panel volume control alongside a master output control. That makes it a practical choice for small to medium PA installations where you need to blend a few sources without taking up much rack space.
Output runs to either a 100V line or an 8 ohm speaker load via a removable screw terminal (Euroblock) connector on the rear panel, so it suits both distributed 100V systems and standard low impedance setups. The amplifier uses a Class D design with a transformer output, and there's a global 2-band EQ to shape the overall sound. Channel 1 offers switchable +20V phantom power for condenser microphones, available on the XLR or the rear terminals. Twenty-four volt fire alarm mute contacts let the amp drop its output when triggered by an alarm system.
The UA240 comes with rack-mounting hardware that can be set up two ways: mount two units side by side in a standard rack, or fix a single unit flat against a wall or under a worktop. Rated performance includes THD below 0.4% at 1kHz, a signal to noise ratio of 80dB on line inputs, and a frequency response of 100Hz to 18kHz. Input sensitivity sits at -10dB for line and -45dB for mic, with a 1k ohm input impedance on the mic/line channels. It's a straightforward, flexible amp for background music, paging and general announcements.

Frequently Asked
Does the UA240 work with 100V line speakers?
Yes. The output connects to either a 100V line or an 8 ohm low impedance speaker load through the removable screw terminal connector on the rear panel.
How many inputs does it have?
Five in total: three switchable mic/line inputs, one RCA line input and one 3.5mm aux input, each with its own front panel volume control.
Can I connect a condenser microphone?
Yes. Channel 1 provides switchable +20V phantom power, available on the XLR input or the rear terminals, which powers a condenser microphone.
Does it support fire alarm muting?
It does. The amp includes 24V relay mute contacts, so its output can be muted automatically when triggered by a fire alarm system.
How do I mount the UA240?
It ships with rack-mounting hardware. You can rack two units side by side, or mount a single unit flat against a wall or under a worktop.
Is there tone control on board?
Yes. A global 2-band EQ lets you adjust the overall sound across all channels on the 120W and 240W models.
