Description
The Adastra RMS605 is a multi-channel 100V slave amplifier with five independent 60W outputs, each able to drive 100V line speakers or 4-16 Ohm low impedance speakers. Every channel has its own line input, which can be switched to a global auxiliary feed, so you can send the same source to several channels at once or run each zone from a separate input. That makes it just as suitable as a set of high-power slave units as it is a full independent zoning system for a multi-room install.
A paging microphone input is included for voice alerts, with switchable +20V phantom power and a vox override that ducks the music when someone speaks. The balanced XLR mic input sits on the rear panel alongside gain, bass, treble and vox controls, while each output offers its own level, bass, treble and channel/aux switch. For life-safety work there is a 24V mute contact on a Euroblock terminal, which connects to an alarm panel for emergency evacuation override.
Class-D amplification and efficient toroidal transformers keep the RMS605 running cool and let the whole design fit into a single 1U (one rack unit) rack-mount housing. It runs from a standard 170-264Vac mains supply via an IEC connector, so it drops straight into an existing rack. Whether you are building a background music system across several rooms or need dependable paging and alarm integration, the RMS605 gives you five channels of flexible control in a compact chassis.

Frequently Asked
How many channels does the RMS605 have and what is the power output?
It has five independent amplifier channels, each rated at 60W, giving 5 x 60W in total.
Can it drive both 100V line and low impedance speakers?
Yes. Each channel output works with 100V line speakers or 4-16 Ohm low impedance speakers.
Does it support a paging microphone?
Yes. There is a balanced XLR paging microphone input with vox override and switchable +20V phantom power, so music ducks automatically when you page.
How does the emergency muting work?
A 24V mute contact on a Euroblock terminal lets you connect the amplifier to an alarm panel for emergency evacuation override.
Can I feed the same source to several channels?
Yes. Each channel input can be switched to a global auxiliary feed, so you can share one source across multiple channels or run each channel independently.
How much rack space does it take up?
It fits into a single 1U rack-mount housing thanks to its Class-D design and toroidal transformers.
