Description
The Adastra BH5V-B is a 2-way background speaker built for indoor or outdoor use, with an IP44 weather-resistant rating that lets it handle damp and splashes on covered patios, walkways and terraces. It pairs an extended low frequency driver with a dome tweeter, and a built-in crossover network splits the signal between the two so you get clear, even sound across the range. The moulded PP cabinet and aluminium grille keep the whole unit tough and light.
Wiring is straightforward. The speaker runs on 100V line systems or as a 16 Ohm unit, so it fits most commercial and home installs. A rotary volume tapping switch lets you set the level at the speaker, and both this and the spring terminals sit behind a protective cover at the rear to keep the connections clean and out of the weather. The 120 degree dispersion angle spreads the sound wide, which helps you cover a room or an outdoor area with fewer speakers.
Each BH5V-B comes with a pan and tilt mounting bracket. It adjusts laterally along the wall and tilts to various angles, so you can aim the speaker where you need it for the best directivity. This suits background music and public address (PA) jobs in cafes, shops, gardens and courtyards. The speaker is supplied singly, so order the number you need for your layout. Finished in black to sit quietly against most walls and ceilings.

Frequently Asked
Can the BH5V-B be used outdoors?
Yes. It carries an IP44 weather-resistant rating, so it copes with damp and splashing. We still suggest mounting it under some cover, such as a soffit or canopy, for the longest working life.
Does it run on 100V line systems?
It works on both 100V line and 16 Ohm systems. A rotary tapping switch on the rear lets you set the power level to suit your amplifier and layout.
Is a mounting bracket included?
Yes. Each speaker ships with a pan and tilt bracket that adjusts laterally along the wall and tilts to different angles for aiming the sound.
Are the speakers sold in pairs?
No, they are supplied singly. Order the exact quantity you need for your installation.
What type of driver setup does it use?
It is a 2-way system with an extended low frequency driver and a dome tweeter, split by a built-in crossover network.
How wide is the sound coverage?
The dispersion angle is 120 degrees, which spreads sound across a wide area so you can cover a space with fewer units.
