Description

The Adamas is a glass LED pendant light with a Smoke Grey shade, 33cm tall and 23.6cm across. The upper half of the shade is covered in a faceted honeycomb pattern that catches the light, while the lower half is smooth, clear glass with a soft grey tint. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: it draws 11W and gives 746lm of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look natural beneath it. Its stem and canopy come in Matt Black or Brushed Brass.

We picture the Adamas over a dining table, where its warm light suits a long dinner, or above a sideboard or reading chair in a living room. It hangs on a drop of up to 200cm, so you can bring it low over a table or keep it higher in a room with a tall ceiling. Hang one on its own over a small round table, or a line of them along a longer one. It is dimmable by DALI or push, so it can join a DALI lighting control system or be dimmed from a push switch, taking it from full brightness to a low glow later in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The shade is glass in Smoke Grey, and the honeycomb facets give it texture you can see from across the room. The Matt Black finish gives the stem and canopy a quiet, dark line against a pale ceiling, while Brushed Brass brings a warmer, softer gleam. The canopy is 6.5cm across and 16.7cm tall, so it sits neatly at the ceiling. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, and once it is up there is simply the switch or control to think about. Our photographs show the matt black version.
