Description

The Adamas floor lamp sets a Smoke Grey glass shade on a slim stem with a round, flat base, standing 180cm tall. The glass is 33cm tall and 23.6cm across, a softly rounded oval with a faceted honeycomb pattern over its upper half and smooth glass on the lower half, so the light catches the facets and glows gently through the grey. Inside is an integrated LED of 11W giving 746 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true. With the LED built in, there is no bulb to buy or change. The stem and base come in Matt Black or Brushed Brass.

It belongs in a living room, beside a reading chair or at the end of a sofa, and it is just as at home in a bedroom corner. The base is only 28.5cm across, so it asks for little floor space. It plugs in and runs on 230V, so you can move it as the room changes, and it is dimmable by push: bright for reading, lower for a quiet evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The Smoke Grey glass sits comfortably with warm timber floors, linen curtains and soft neutral colours.

The finish is a choice of two, Matt Black or Brushed Brass, carried through the stem and the base. Matt Black gives a crisp, graphic line that recedes against dark curtains and wood, while Brushed Brass adds warmth and a little shine to paler rooms. Either way the Smoke Grey glass stays the same, with its honeycomb facets on the upper half. There is no bulb, driver or other part to buy separately: it plugs in, and the light is ready to use. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket. Our photographs show the matt black version.
