Description

The Adamas is a glass pendant light in forest green, 23cm tall and 22.5cm across, with a rounded, gently squared shape. The upper half of the shade carries a faceted honeycomb pattern that catches the light, while the lower half is smooth, so the green glass glows evenly. Inside sits an integrated LED of 11W giving 746 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look natural under it. As the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or change.

We see it first over a dining table, where its warm light and the depth of coloured glass make a meal feel unhurried. It suits a living room just as well, hung beside a favourite armchair or over a side table, and its forest green sits happily with wood, stone and pale walls. The drop goes up to 200cm, so it can hang low over a table or higher in a room with a tall ceiling. A single pendant is enough for a small round table; along a longer table, a row of them spreads the light evenly. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The metal parts come in two finishes, matt black or brushed brass: the matt black gives a crisp outline against the green, while the brushed brass adds a warmer glint. The canopy is 6.5cm across and 16.7cm tall, small enough to sit quietly on the ceiling. The light dims by DALI or push, so it can join a DALI control system or be dimmed from a push switch. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, so agree the drop you want with them before it goes up. Our photographs show the matt black version.
