Description
The Knightsbridge 8-gang grid faceplate is a 146.5mm square matt black cover plate designed to house eight individual grid modules from the Knightsbridge modular grid system. The faceplate is made from premium-grade steel with a matt black powder-coated finish and a rounded edge profile that sits 7.5mm proud of the wall once installed.
Designed for custom switch and socket configurations in residential, commercial and hospitality installations, the 8-gang faceplate allows any combination of light switches, dimmer modules, socket outlets, data ports, TV/satellite terminals and blank plates to be arranged within a single aperture. The plate requires two GDF002F grid frames (sold separately) to support the eight modules, with each frame holding four modules side-by-side.
The matt black finish matches the rounded edge matt black switches and sockets in the Knightsbridge range, allowing a coordinated appearance across an entire room or property. The IP20 rating makes this faceplate suitable for dry interior locations including living rooms, bedrooms, offices and hallways. The steel construction provides durability and rigidity, preventing warping or flexing when modules are inserted or removed.

Frequently Asked
What grid frames are needed?
This 8-gang faceplate requires two Knightsbridge GDF002F grid frames (sold separately). Each GDF002F frame holds four modules, so two frames provide the eight module positions this faceplate accommodates.
What modules are compatible?
Any Knightsbridge grid system modules will fit, including light switches, dimmer modules, socket outlets, USB chargers, RJ45 data ports, TV/satellite terminals, telephone sockets and blank plates. The modular system allows custom configurations to be built.
What back box is required?
The 8-gang configuration typically requires a custom dual-gang back box or a specially designed grid back box with sufficient depth to accommodate the wiring and grid frames. Consult a qualified electrician for installation guidance.
Is the faceplate screw-fixed?
Yes. The image shows four screw positions at each corner. This is a traditional screw-fixed faceplate, not a screwless design.
