Description

The Knightsbridge FP82MNPC is a 45A double-pole cooker control switch with a red neon indicator, housed in a 2-gang size polished chrome flat plate measuring 147.5mm high by 87.5mm wide. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when off, allowing safe maintenance of connected cooking appliances without having to isolate at the consumer unit.

Designed for kitchen installation to control electric cookers, ovens and hobs rated up to 45A (10,350W at 230V), the switch sits typically within 2 metres of the appliance. The neon indicator glows red when the switch is in the on position, providing visual confirmation that the appliance has power. The ultra-low 2.5mm projection from the wall makes this a flush-fitting option for contemporary kitchens where minimising plate projection is a priority.

The 45A rating handles electric cookers, ovens, hobs and ranges up to 10,350W at 230V. It is not suitable for controlling multiple appliances simultaneously unless their combined load remains under 45A.

What does the neon indicator show?

The red neon glows when the switch is in the on position, confirming that power is available to the connected appliance. When the switch is off, the neon is dark and both live and neutral lines are isolated.

What back box depth is needed?

A minimum 47mm mounting box depth is required. The ultra-low 2.5mm projection from the wall means the total depth from the wall surface is approximately 49.5mm when fitted.

Is the flat plate screwed or screwless?
