Description

This 4000K LED plate is a replacement component for the Knightsbridge 14W CCT LED Bulkhead with Corridor Function. The 224mm diameter disc carries an array of SMD LEDs that deliver 1160lm of cool white light at 4000K, or 140lm in emergency corridor mode. The plate retains full compatibility with the bulkhead's integrated corridor function, which reduces output when no motion is detected to save energy while maintaining wayfinding illumination.

Designed for retrofitting existing bulkhead fittings where a fixed 4000K output is preferred over the variable CCT versions, the plate installs by removing the original LED disc and connecting the replacement to the same terminal block inside the bulkhead housing. The constant current driver remains in the base unit, so only the LED plate itself is changed. This allows facilities managers to standardise colour temperature across multiple bulkheads without replacing entire fittings.

The CEM-1 construction provides thermal stability for the SMD LED array, and the 82lm/W efficacy matches the performance of the original CCT versions. The plate projects 2.5mm from its mounting surface and sits 9.3mm thick including the LED components, fitting within the standard bulkhead depth without modification. The >85 CRI ensures accurate colour rendering in commercial corridors, stairwells, car parks and public access areas where cool white light is specified.

Does this plate work with the corridor function?

Yes. The plate is designed specifically to retain compatibility with the integrated corridor function in the 14W CCT bulkhead. When no motion is detected, output drops to 140lm emergency mode to save energy while maintaining wayfinding light.

Can I fit this plate to other bulkhead models?

This plate is dimensioned and wired for the Knightsbridge 14W CCT LED Bulkhead with Corridor Function. It may not be compatible with other bulkhead models due to differences in diameter, mounting points, terminal configuration or driver voltage.

What's the difference between this and the CCT version?

The CCT version allows switching between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K via a selector on the plate. This fixed 4000K version outputs only cool white, which is useful for standardising colour temperature across multiple fittings in commercial or public access installations.

How is the plate installed?

Turn off mains power to the bulkhead. Remove the diffuser and disconnect the existing LED plate from the terminal block inside the base unit. Connect the replacement plate to the same terminals, refit the diffuser and restore power. The constant current driver remains in the base, so only the LED plate itself is changed.
