Description

The Knightsbridge FPF4GMB is a 4-gang modular floor plate built from premium-grade steel with a matt black powder-coated finish and a spring-loaded hinged lid. The plate accepts up to four 25x50mm euro modules or two 50x50mm modules, allowing custom configurations of HDMI, USB, RJ45 data, or power outlets to be fitted flush into the floor surface.

Designed for boardrooms, home cinemas, open-plan offices and luxury residential installations where ceiling drops are impractical, the floor plate sits 16.2mm above the finished floor when installed. The spring-loaded lid closes flush with the plate when not in use, reducing trip hazards and keeping the aperture clear of dust and debris. A foam gasket around the module aperture provides basic dust and spill protection to IP20 standard, suitable for indoor dry-area use.

The 144mm x 94.5mm footprint requires a corresponding floor box (sold separately) to be set into the floor void during the first-fix stage. The plate itself fixes to the floor box using the earth terminal and mounting points, with the steel construction providing rigidity once installed. The matt black finish resists fingerprints and scuffs better than gloss alternatives and pairs with contemporary and minimalist interior schemes.

Is the spring-loaded lid adjustable?

No. The IP20 rating indicates protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but no protection against water ingress. The floor plate is intended for dry indoor areas only — offices, lounges, boardrooms and home cinemas.
