Description

We stock this 30W LED driver as the power supply for low-voltage LED lighting. It is a constant-voltage unit that converts 220-240V AC mains to a 24V DC output, sized for LED strip, LED tape and other 24V loads up to 30W total. It sits in a white plastic housing with terminal blocks for the mains input and the low-voltage output.

We use a driver like this wherever the LED load needs mains stepped down to 24V DC, such as inside a ceiling void, behind coving or within furniture where the wiring is concealed and accessible. It wants some ventilation around the housing to shed heat, and it connects to the mains through a fused spur or junction box with the 24V output wired straight to the LED load.

The output holds a steady 24V DC as the load varies up to the 30W maximum, which keeps brightness even and helps avoid voltage drop at the far end of longer runs.
