Description

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a brushed brass cover plate measuring 147.5mm x 87.5mm, designed to house three grid modules in the Flat Plate grid system. The faceplate is cut from premium-grade steel with a brushed brass finish and a 3.5mm projection from the wall, giving an ultra-flat profile once installed.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where mix-and-match switch and socket configurations are needed, the grid system allows any combination of switches, dimmers, sockets, TV outlets, telephone outlets and data ports to be fitted behind a single coordinated faceplate. The 3-gang faceplate accepts three grid modules horizontally, requiring one GDF002F frame (sold separately) as the mounting sub-structure. The grid system uses a separate metal frame fixed to the back box, with the faceplate clipping onto the frame — no screws are visible on the finished wall surface.

The brushed brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with the Flat Plate switches and sockets range across Knightsbridge's product line. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations. The faceplate carries a 25-year warranty and requires a 25mm minimum back box depth for installation with the frame and chosen grid modules.

The 3-gang faceplate accepts three horizontal grid modules from the Knightsbridge Flat Plate grid system. Common modules include 1-gang switches, 2-way switches, dimmers, 13A sockets, USB sockets, TV outlets, telephone outlets and data ports. Modules are purchased separately.

What frame is needed for installation?

You need one GDF002F frame (sold separately). The frame is a separate metal sub-structure that fixes to the back box, and this faceplate clips onto the frame to conceal all fixings.

Is the faceplate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The faceplate clips onto the GDF002F frame and can be removed without disturbing the wiring or grid modules, then re-clipped after painting or decorating around the plate.
