Description

The Knightsbridge CABCTBC is a 73mm diameter under cabinet light with an integrated 2.5W LED and a switchable colour temperature setting that toggles between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5000K cool white via a small switch on the rear of the fitting. The brushed chrome body houses a clear polycarbonate diffuser over SMD LEDs that deliver 135-140 lumens depending on the selected colour temperature.

Designed for under-kitchen-cabinet task lighting, shelf illumination and display lighting in retail or residential settings, the fitting offers dual mounting options: surface-mount with a 30mm projection from the ceiling or recessed into a 58mm cut-out with a 50mm minimum void depth above. The direct mains voltage connection eliminates the need for separate LED drivers, simplifying installation. The 1.2m hard-wired cable allows series connection of multiple fittings from a single spur.

The pressed steel and polycarbonate construction carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry indoor environments but not for bathroom zones or outdoor use. The brushed chrome finish provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances and contemporary kitchen hardware. The 115° beam angle spreads light across worktop surfaces without creating harsh shadows directly beneath the fitting. The fitting is non-dimmable and rated Class II for additional electrical safety without requiring an earth connection.

How do I change the colour temperature?

A small switch on the rear of the fitting toggles between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5000K cool white. Switch the fitting off at the mains before adjusting, then power on to see the new colour temperature. The setting is retained after power cycling.

Can this be recessed into kitchen cabinets?

Yes. The fitting requires a 58mm diameter cut-out and a minimum 50mm void depth above the cabinet ceiling. For thinner cabinet panels, surface mounting with the 30mm projection is the better option.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and should not be connected to dimmer switches, as this can cause flickering or shorten the lifespan of the LED.

Can I connect multiple fittings in series?

Yes. The 1.2m hard-wired cable allows multiple fittings to be daisy-chained from a single spur, reducing the number of electrical connections needed for a row of under-cabinet lights. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure the circuit can handle the combined load.
