Description

The Knightsbridge CABCTW is a 73mm diameter LED under cabinet light with a switchable colour temperature function that toggles between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5000K daylight. The integrated 2.5W SMD LED provides 135-140 lumens depending on the selected colour temperature, behind a clear polycarbonate lens with a 115-degree beam spread.

Designed for kitchen worktop lighting, shelf illumination and alcove accent lighting, the fitting offers dual mounting: surface-fixed with 30mm projection from the ceiling or wall, or recessed into a minimum 50mm void with a 58mm diameter cut-out. The mains voltage design eliminates the need for a separate driver, simplifying installation behind kitchen wall units or inside furniture. The 1.2m cable run allows connection to a nearby mains supply or linking multiple units in series.

The white finish is a matt powder coat on pressed steel and polycarbonate construction, offering a clean neutral appearance that blends into white ceiling surfaces or light-coloured kitchen units. The fitting carries IP20 protection, making it suitable for dry interior locations but not wet rooms or outdoor use. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required during installation. The LED is non-dimmable and carries a 3-year warranty with an L70B50 lifespan of 30,000 hours.

How do I change the colour temperature?

The CCT switch is accessed during installation, before the fitting is fully closed. Toggle the switch to cycle through 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5000K daylight. The selected temperature is stored and remains active once the fitting is powered on.

Can this be surface-mounted or does it need to be recessed?

Both mounting options are supported. Surface mounting gives 30mm projection from the ceiling or wall. Recessed mounting requires a minimum 50mm void depth and a 58mm diameter cut-out, with the fitting sitting 25mm into the void.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and should be wired directly to a standard mains switch, not a dimmer circuit.

Can multiple units be linked together?

Yes. The 1.2m cable allows connection to a nearby mains supply or linking to other units in the same circuit. Consult a qualified electrician for safe series wiring and circuit load calculations.
