Description

This Knightsbridge 24V LED strip light delivers 500lm of 3000K warm white light across a 1m length, with 60 surface-mounted 2835 LEDs distributed along an 8mm-wide flexible PCB. The strip draws 4.8W per metre and requires a separate 24V constant voltage driver (sold separately). An adhesive backing on the rear of the strip allows it to be fixed directly to clean, dry surfaces inside cabinets, under shelving, behind headboards or along skirting boards.

Designed for internal applications where discreet accent or task lighting is needed, the strip can be cut to length at 100mm intervals (marked on the strip itself) to fit the exact run required. The IP20 rating limits the strip to dry indoor environments only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens splashback zones, or outdoor use. The 120-degree beam angle provides broad wash coverage rather than focused spotlighting, making the strip well-suited to indirect lighting installations where the LED emitters are hidden from direct view.

The strip runs on 24V DC, which allows runs of up to 20m to be connected end-to-end before voltage drop affects brightness. Longer runs beyond 20m require a second driver feeding power at the midpoint or end of the strip. Dimming is possible when paired with a compatible 24V dimmer or PWM controller (sold separately) — the strip itself does not include dimming electronics. The CRI rating of >80 renders warm-toned fabrics, woods and finishes reasonably accurately, though it falls short of the >90 CRI needed for colour-critical applications.

The 1m length supplied here is one of five standard reel sizes Knightsbridge offers in this range (1m, 3m, 5m, 50m). Knightsbridge also produces a separate range of aluminium profiles, end caps, connectors and surface-mount clips designed to work with this strip width, sold separately at Niori.

No. The strip requires a separate 24V DC constant voltage driver, which is sold separately. Choose a driver with sufficient wattage to cover your total strip length — this 1m strip draws 4.8W, so multiple metres would need a proportionally higher-rated driver.

Can the strip be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The strip has cut marks every 100mm along its length. Cut only at these marked points to avoid damaging the circuit. Cutting at any other point will break the electrical continuity.

Is the strip dimmable?

Dimming depends on the driver and controller used. Pair the strip with a dimmable 24V driver or a PWM dimming controller to achieve variable brightness. The strip itself has no built-in dimming function.

Can this strip be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the strip has no protection against moisture or dust ingress. It is suitable only for dry indoor environments. Knightsbridge produces a separate IP67-rated silicone-coated version for wet or outdoor applications.
