Description

The Knightsbridge 20A 1-gang DP switch combines a double-pole rocker switch, neon indicator and flex outlet behind a polished chrome flat plate. The 20A rating handles fixed appliances drawing up to 4,600W on 230V mains, making it appropriate for water heaters, immersion heaters, large extractor fans and commercial catering equipment.

The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral conductors when turned off, providing safer isolation than single-pole switches for high-draw appliances that remain permanently wired. The red neon indicator glows when the switch is in the 'on' position, giving visual confirmation of power status from across the room. The flex outlet below the rocker accepts appliance flex where a hard-wired connection is not required.

The flat plate construction uses premium-grade steel finished in polished chrome with a 2.5mm projection from the wall once fitted. This ultra-low profile sits close to the mounting surface, reducing the risk of the plate being knocked or caught during routine use. The plate fits standard 25mm minimum depth back boxes and carries an integrated gasket to prevent dust ingress around the edge. Certified to EN 60669-1 and backed by a 25-year warranty.
