Description

The Knightsbridge 2-light GU10 bar spotlight mounts two independently adjustable spotlight heads on a 366mm brushed chrome rail. Each head rotates through 300 degrees horizontally and tilts through 90 degrees vertically, allowing light to be directed to worktops, display areas, artwork or architectural features. The fitting accepts standard GU10 bulbs up to 50W per head, sold separately.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail displays and corridor lighting, the bar can be ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted depending on the space. The 135mm projection from the ceiling or wall gives enough clearance for the heads to be angled without the bulb housings clashing with the mounting surface. The brushed chrome finish provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.

The steel construction and IP20 rating suit dry indoor environments — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. Each spotlight head houses a 32mm-diameter cylindrical reflector that focuses the GU10 beam into a directed pool rather than diffusing it as ambient light. The fitting is Class I and requires an earth connection during installation. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb used — most GU10 LEDs rated as 'dimmable' will work with trailing-edge dimmers.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs up to 50W each, sold separately. Most users fit GU10 LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-4000K depending on whether the space needs warm accent lighting or cooler task light.

Can it be wall-mounted as well as ceiling-mounted?

Yes. The bar can be mounted horizontally on a wall or ceiling. The 135mm projection and 90-degree tilt range allow the heads to be angled downwards when wall-mounted to light a desk or worktop below.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulbs you fit. Most GU10 LEDs rated as 'dimmable' work with trailing-edge dimmers. Halogen GU10s are typically dimmable with standard dimmers. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must be used in dry indoor environments only.
