Description

This is a data plate with two ports on one square face, dressed in a deep navy blue moulding with a screwless front so nothing breaks the surface but the ports themselves. The plate measures 88mm square, which is the standard single plate footprint, so it lines up with the rest of the plates on a wall without looking like an afterthought. It is a low voltage data fitting and carries network cabling only, so it takes no part in the power side of a room.

We would fit this in a study, a home office or behind a media wall, anywhere a wired connection is wanted for a desktop, a games console or a television that struggles on wi-fi. Two ports on one plate is the useful number: one for the machine that lives there permanently and one spare for whatever else gets plugged in. It suits darker decorating schemes especially well, and it is one we reach for when a white plate would stand out too sharply against a painted or papered wall. It is intended for dry rooms indoors, on data circuits.

The body and front are moulded in ABS, so the navy colour runs through the material rather than sitting on top as a coat that can chip at the edges.
