Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular floor plate is a matt white steel floor box cover designed to accept two 25x50mm or one 50x50mm euro module for AV, data or power connections. The spring-loaded lid sits 16.2mm above the finished floor surface when closed and opens upwards on a hinged mechanism to reveal the module apertures underneath.
Designed for installation in offices, meeting rooms, education spaces and hospitality environments where floor-level connectivity is needed without surface-mounted trailing cables, the plate provides a semi-flush solution that integrates into carpet, vinyl or solid flooring. The foam gasket around the underside of the lid reduces dust ingress when the plate is closed, and the IP20 rating provides basic protection against solid objects over 12.5mm.
The matt white powder-coated steel construction gives a neutral finish that blends into light-coloured flooring and minimises visual prominence when closed. The plate measures 94.5 x 86mm at the faceplate, with a 16.2mm depth that requires a compatible floor box cavity underneath. The earth terminal built into the plate allows grounding of metal-bodied modules where required.
The modular design means the specific modules (HDMI, USB, RJ45, 13A sockets) are purchased separately and clipped into the plate on site, allowing the configuration to be tailored to the application. Knightsbridge's 25-year guarantee covers the plate structure and hinge mechanism under normal use.

Frequently Asked
What modules does this floor plate accept?
The plate accepts two 25x50mm euro modules or one 50x50mm euro module. Common options include HDMI, RJ45 (Cat6/Cat7), USB-A, USB-C, 13A sockets and blank plates. Modules are purchased separately and clip into the plate apertures on site.
What floor box is required underneath?
This plate requires a compatible floor box cavity installed into the floor structure to house the modules and wiring. The floor box depth depends on the module types being used — contact us for guidance on pairing this plate with the correct floor box for your installation.
Is the plate suitable for carpet?
Yes. The spring-loaded lid and 16.2mm flat profile allow the plate to sit on carpet, vinyl or solid floors. A foam gasket around the underside reduces dust ingress when the lid is closed.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces this modular floor plate in several finishes including brushed chrome, polished brass and matt black. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
