Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate is an 86mm square white plate designed to house euro-module inserts for TV, SAT, HDMI, USB, telephone or data connections. The plate accepts either two 25x50mm euro-modules side-by-side or a single 50x50mm euro-module, allowing custom AV, data and communication installations to be built from standard modular components.
Designed for residential and commercial installations where structured wiring is needed — AV rooms, home offices, hotel rooms, classrooms — the faceplate fits a standard 25mm back box and presents a 7mm low-profile projection from the wall once fitted. The rounded edge reduces the visual weight compared to square-edged plates and softens the transition between the wall and the faceplate. The thermoset resin construction is impact-resistant and carries an anti-microbial coating tested to ISO 22196:2011, making it suitable for high-touch environments including healthcare settings, schools and commercial kitchens.
The white finish is a clean neutral that pairs with standard white decorator switches and sockets. Screw cap covers are included to conceal the fixing screws once the plate is installed, giving a cleaner finished appearance. The IP20 rating means the faceplate is suitable for dry indoor locations; it is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor use or areas exposed to moisture.

Frequently Asked
What euro-module configurations does it support?
The faceplate accepts either two 25x50mm euro-modules positioned side-by-side, or a single 50x50mm euro-module. Common insert types include HDMI, coaxial TV/SAT, CAT5e/CAT6 RJ45 data, USB, and telephone sockets.
What back box depth is required?
A standard 25mm single-gang back box is required. The faceplate projects 7mm from the wall surface once fitted.
What does the anti-microbial coating do?
The coating inhibits bacterial growth on the faceplate surface and is third-party tested to ISO 22196:2011. This makes the plate suitable for high-touch or hygienic environments such as healthcare facilities, schools and commercial kitchens.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the faceplate is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, outdoor installations or areas exposed to moisture.
