Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang blanking plate covers unused or redundant double electrical boxes behind a brushed brass flat plate. The plate projects only 2.5mm from the wall once fitted, giving an almost flush finish that sits level with standard wall surfaces. A built-in gasket around the perimeter ensures a tight seal against the back box.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where a double back box needs to be concealed, the blanking plate fits standard UK 2-gang box spacings. The flat plate design means there is no stepped edge or raised border around the perimeter, allowing the plate to blend into the wall plane. The brushed brass finish coordinates with other Knightsbridge accessories in the same range.

The plate is constructed from premium-grade steel with the brushed brass finish applied over the base metal. An earth terminal is included on the reverse for grounding continuity if required during installation. The IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations. The plate is certified to IEC 60670-1 standards and carries a 25-year warranty.

Is the earth terminal mandatory to connect?

No. The earth terminal is provided for grounding continuity where the box is part of a metal conduit system or where earthing of the faceplate is required by local wiring regulations. For plastic back boxes the terminal may be left unused.
