Description

This Knightsbridge multimedia combination plate integrates a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket with a blanked aperture sized to accept up to four Euro module inserts (25 x 50mm each). The single matt black screwless faceplate combines mains power and low-voltage signal distribution behind one unified finish, allowing HDMI, satellite, network, USB or other modular inserts to be installed alongside standard 13A outlets.

Designed for media walls, home offices, hotel rooms and AV installations where multiple signal types converge at a single point, the plate eliminates the need for separate faceplates for power and data. The double-pole switches on each socket isolate both live and neutral when off, providing additional safety for high-draw equipment. The 180 x 147.5mm faceplate fits a double-gang back box and the screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame.

The matt black powder-coated steel finish resists fingerprints better than gloss alternatives and pairs cleanly with dark walls, media units and contemporary interiors. The plate accepts standard Knightsbridge Euro modules including HDMI, Cat6 network, satellite F-type, DAB aerial, USB-A, USB-C, 3.5mm audio and telecom inserts, sold separately. The modular aperture arrives blanked — you choose which inserts to fit based on your installation requirements.

What Euro module inserts are compatible?

The plate accepts standard 25 x 50mm Euro modules from Knightsbridge, including HDMI, Cat6 network, satellite F-type, DAB aerial, USB-A, USB-C, 3.5mm audio and telecom inserts. Modules are sold separately and clip into the aperture without tools once the faceplate is removed.

What back box is required?

A double-gang 35mm minimum depth back box is required. The plate's recessed depth is 21.2mm, and the screwless cover adds 4.5mm projection from the wall once installed.

Can the module configuration be changed after installation?

Yes. The screwless cover plate clips off the sub-frame without re-wiring, allowing Euro modules to be swapped, added or removed as requirements change. The mains socket wiring remains fixed to the back box terminals.

Is the matt black finish resistant to scratches?

The powder-coated steel construction is more resistant to surface scratches than plastic alternatives, though it is not impervious to deliberate abrasion or impact damage. The matt finish hides minor scuffs better than gloss or polished finishes.
