The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP switched socket adds USB-C fast charging (up to 45W) and USB-A charging (up to 18W) behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a white insert. The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances such as kettles, irons and heaters.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet, while the USB ports allow simultaneous fast charging of phones, tablets and laptops without occupying the mains outlets.

The USB-C port supports Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols, delivering up to 45W to compatible devices such as laptops, tablets and recent smartphones. The USB-A port provides up to 18W for older devices or secondary charging. When both USB ports are in use simultaneously, the socket delivers 27W via USB-C and 18W via USB-A. The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic accent that pairs well with contemporary, modern and minimalist interiors, while the white insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to each outlet aperture.

A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. In cases where multiple cables enter the back box or existing wiring is bulky, a 35mm depth may be required. The screwless cover plate adds approximately 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.
