Description

The Knightsbridge SFR192RBCW combines a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket on the right with a 2-gang modular plate on the left, allowing the installation of additional connectivity or AV components within a single screwless faceplate. The modular slots accept standard 25 x 50mm inserts for satellite TV, coaxial connections, HDMI, USB charging, RJ45 networking or blanking plates, giving flexibility to configure the plate around the specific cabling needs of a room.

Designed for living rooms, home offices and bedrooms where power and data connectivity sit side by side, the combination plate reduces the need for multiple separate faceplates on the same wall run. Each 13A socket is dual-pole switched, isolating both live and neutral when the switches are in the off position. The double socket shares twin earth terminals and handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet on 230V mains.

The brushed chrome faceplate is screwless, clipping onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to a 35mm minimum back box. The white insert behind the chrome plate provides a clean backing to the socket apertures and modular slots. The premium-grade steel construction carries a 25-year warranty and an IP20 rating for internal use. The 235mm width spans a standard dual back box installation, with the faceplate sitting 4.5mm proud of the wall once fitted.

What modular inserts can fit in the 2-gang plate?

The plate accepts any standard 25 x 50mm modular inserts, including satellite F-type connectors, USB charging modules, HDMI pass-throughs, RJ45 networking sockets, coaxial connections and blanking plates. Inserts are sold separately and click into the modular frame on installation.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed. The screwless cover plate adds 4.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted, with the recessed depth sitting 21.2mm behind the wall surface.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring.

What is the 25-year warranty covering?

Knightsbridge's 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse or environmental factors outside the IP20 rating.
