The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP socket with 2-gang modular combination plate combines a twin switched socket on the right with two Euro-modular insert spaces on the left, all behind a single brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The dual-pole switching on the socket isolates both live and neutral when switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances.

Designed for new builds, renovations and retrofit installations where power and signal connections need to sit side-by-side, the two modular spaces accept standard Euro-format insert modules including USB chargers, CAT6 network sockets, HDMI ports, satellite/TV coax, phone lines and audio jacks (modules sold separately). Common applications include behind TVs, home office desks, kitchen worktops and hotel bedside panels where both mains power and connectivity are needed in one location.

The modular insert spaces measure 50mm x 25mm each and sit flush with the faceplate once the chosen modules are clipped in. The 13A socket provides 3,120W capacity per outlet, suitable for standard UK appliances. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean finish with no visible fixings. The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, polished chrome taps and contemporary interiors.

The plate requires a minimum 35mm back box depth for safe installation and measures 235mm wide by 87.5mm high, making it a double-width plate that occupies the same footprint as two standard single-gang plates fitted side-by-side. The black insert behind the brushed chrome faceplate defines the edge of each aperture and hides the back of the cover plate.

What modules fit in the two modular spaces?

The plate accepts standard Euro-format insert modules measuring 50mm x 25mm. Common modules include USB chargers, CAT6 network sockets, HDMI ports, satellite/TV coax, phone line sockets and 3.5mm audio jacks. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures without tools.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed for safe installation. The plate itself projects 4.5mm from the wall once the screwless cover is fitted.

Can I leave the modular spaces empty?

No. The plate is designed to have modules fitted into both spaces. Leaving them empty exposes the back box and creates an unfinished appearance. If you only need one module, consider ordering blank modular inserts to fill the second space.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The brushed chrome cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the plate and re-clipped without re-wiring.
