This Knightsbridge combination plate pairs a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket with two modular insert apertures behind a matt white screwless faceplate. The two 25x50mm euro module slots accept standard Knightsbridge modular inserts for satellite TV, USB charging, HDMI, RJ45 data networking or other AV/data connections, allowing the plate to be configured to the exact requirements of the installation.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where mains power and media/data connections are needed at a single wall location, the combination plate consolidates what would otherwise require two separate faceplates into one 235mm-wide unit. The dual-pole switching on the socket isolates both live and neutral lines when off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching. The 35mm minimum back box depth requirement suits standard 2-gang dry-lining boxes and surface-mount back boxes.

The matt white finish provides a clean, low-sheen surface that works across contemporary and traditional interiors without the reflective glare of gloss white. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box, concealing all fixings once installed. What modular inserts fit the 2-gang aperture?

The plate accepts any standard 25x50mm euro module inserts. Knightsbridge produces modular inserts for satellite TV, USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, RJ45 data networking, 3.5mm audio, and blank plates. The two slots allow any combination of two inserts to be fitted during installation.

Are the modular inserts included?

No. The combination plate is supplied as a socket and faceplate with two empty modular apertures. Modular inserts are sold separately and can be selected based on the specific AV/data requirements of the room.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, with the main body recessing 21.2mm into the back box.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The matt white cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame that is fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or the installed modular inserts.
