Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP socket and 2-gang modular combination plate combines two switched 13A sockets with two open apertures sized to accept standard 25x50mm euro modular inserts. The matt black screwless faceplate measures 235mm wide by 87.5mm high, covering both the socket outlets and the modular section in a single unified plate with no visible fixings.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, home cinema installations and AV setups where power and data/signal connections need to sit together on one wall plate, the combination layout saves space and reduces the number of separate faceplates needed. The 2-gang modular section accepts any standard 25x50mm euro inserts including USB chargers, HDMI modules, coaxial satellite sockets, CAT6 data modules, or blanking plates. The double-pole switching on the 13A outlets isolates both live and neutral when switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances.

The matt black finish is a low-sheen powder coat applied to premium-grade steel, providing durability and resistance to fingerprints and surface marks. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the mounting box, so no screws or fixings are visible on the wall once installed. The combination plate requires a 35mm minimum back box depth and projects 4.5mm from the wall when fitted. Twin earth terminals on the 2-gang socket section ensure safe earthing for all connected appliances.

The two modular apertures accept any standard 25x50mm euro inserts including USB chargers, HDMI, coaxial satellite, CAT6 data modules, or blanking plates. Modular inserts are sold separately and clip into the apertures from the front once the plate is installed.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring.
