Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP socket with 2-gang modular combination plate adds standard UK power outlets alongside two modular spaces that accept euro-standard 25 x 50mm inserts for data, telecoms, HDMI, USB or other low-voltage connections. The brushed chrome screwless faceplate with white insert hides all fixings behind a clip-on cover plate that sits flush to the wall.

Designed for kitchens, home offices and AV installations where power and signal connections need to sit together in a single wall location, the modular spaces accept any standard euro insert from Knightsbridge's range or third-party manufacturers. This allows the plate to be configured for Ethernet data points, coaxial satellite connections, HDMI pass-throughs, USB charging ports or telephone sockets without needing separate wall apertures for each connection type.

The 13A dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances. The brushed chrome finish provides a mid-sheen metallic surface that resists fingerprints and pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The white insert behind the chrome faceplate frames the socket apertures and modular spaces with a clean contrast edge. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to a 35mm minimum back box, allowing the plate to be removed for redecorating and re-fitted without disturbing the wiring.

What modular inserts fit the plate?

The two modular spaces accept any euro-standard 25 x 50mm insert, including Knightsbridge's own range of data, HDMI, coaxial, USB and telecom modules, as well as compatible inserts from other manufacturers. Inserts are sold separately.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, with a recessed depth of 21.2mm behind the wall surface.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring or disturbing the modular inserts.

What's the warranty period?

Knightsbridge provides a 25-year warranty on this product, covering manufacturing defects and material failure under normal use.
