13A 2 Gang DP Socket + 2 Gang Modular Combi Plate - Brushed Chrome Screwless (Grey Insert)

The Knightsbridge 13A 2-gang DP switched socket combines mains power with a 2-gang modular aperture behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a grey insert. The modular section accepts two 25 x 50mm Euro-module inserts, allowing the plate to be customised with TV/satellite coax, telephone, ethernet, HDMI, USB or audio connections alongside the mains sockets.

Designed for home offices, media walls, kitchen worktops and bedside installations where both power and data/AV connections are needed in the same location, the combination plate removes the need for separate faceplates and reduces clutter on the wall. The 2-gang socket section provides 13A switched outlets with double-pole switching, which isolates both live and neutral lines when the switches are off. The modular apertures remain empty until the required inserts are fitted separately.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The brushed chrome finish is directionally brushed steel with a satin surface that minimises fingerprints and reflections compared to polished chrome. The grey insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and provides contrast around each aperture. The plate requires a 35mm minimum back box depth and projects 4.5mm from the wall when fitted.

Knightsbridge modular inserts are sold separately and include options for coaxial TV/satellite, Cat5e/Cat6 ethernet, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, 3.5mm audio and BT/RJ11 telephone connections. The modular system allows the plate to be reconfigured by swapping inserts without replacing the entire faceplate.

What modular inserts fit this plate?

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed. This is deeper than the 25mm required for standard sockets due to the additional depth of the modular insert section. The cover plate adds 4.5mm of projection from the wall.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the plate and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or modular inserts.
