Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang unswitched socket features a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a grey insert. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The 4.3mm projection from the wall makes it one of the slimmest single-gang sockets available, reducing interference with furniture placed close to walls.

Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial installation, the socket carries a 13A rating for standard UK appliances up to 3,120W. The unswitched design provides a permanent live connection at the outlet, suited to appliances that require constant power (refrigerators, router/network equipment, under-counter lighting transformers) or positions where a wall switch would be redundant. The socket fits a 25mm minimum back box depth and is certified to BS 1363-2.

The brushed chrome finish shows directional grain that diffuses reflections and reduces fingerprint visibility compared to polished chrome. The grey insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. A built-in gasket between the faceplate and the wall surface reduces dust ingress around the edges. The socket carries a 25-year warranty and an IP20 rating for standard indoor use.

A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted, giving a total depth of approximately 29.3mm from the back of the box to the front of the faceplate.
