Description
The Knightsbridge 12 gang grid faceplate is a white thermoset resin cover plate designed to accommodate twelve Curved Edge Grid modules in a single 227 x 146mm frame. The faceplate fits a standard 25mm back box and works exclusively with Knightsbridge's Curved Edge Grid system, allowing switches, dimmers, data ports, USB outlets and other modular accessories to be grouped in one location.
Designed for commercial, hospitality and residential installations where multiple control functions need to be consolidated, the 12 gang configuration suits reception desks, meeting rooms, large kitchens and home offices. The white finish pairs with Knightsbridge's Curved Edge switch and socket range, maintaining a consistent appearance across an installation. Screw cap covers conceal the fixing screws once the plate is installed, giving a cleaner finish than exposed screw heads.
The thermoset resin construction resists impact and wear better than standard thermoplastic faceplates, and carries anti-microbial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, making it suitable for healthcare, education and food service environments where hygiene and frequent cleaning are required. The 7mm projection from the wall keeps the overall profile low, and the curved edge design softens the visual appearance compared to traditional square-edged plates. The plate carries an IP20 rating for indoor use and a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What grid modules does this faceplate accept?
This faceplate works exclusively with Knightsbridge Curved Edge Grid modules. It will not accept standard MK-style grid modules or flat-edge systems — the aperture profiles and module dimensions are different.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is required. For installations using deep modules (such as dimmer modules with larger heat dissipation requirements), a 35mm or 47mm back box may be needed — check the specification of the modules you intend to install.
What does the anti-microbial property do?
The thermoset resin is treated with an additive that inhibits bacterial growth on the surface, tested to ISO 22196:2011. This is useful in healthcare, education and food service environments where hygiene is a priority, but it does not replace routine cleaning.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
The faceplate carries an IP20 rating, which is suitable for general indoor use but not for direct exposure to water spray. In bathrooms, it should be installed outside the zones defined in BS 7671 wiring regulations, typically at least 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower enclosure.
