Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX fan isolator switch provides triple-pole isolation for extractor fans in bathrooms, utility rooms and kitchens, allowing the fan circuit to be isolated independently from the lighting circuit during cleaning or maintenance. The polished chrome flat plate projects just 2.5mm from the wall, giving an ultra-low-profile finish that sits nearly flush with the plasterwork.

Designed for residential and light commercial installation, the switch fits a 16mm minimum back box depth — shallower than most standard switches — making it suitable for stud walls and situations where back box depth is limited. The triple-pole configuration switches all three conductors (live, neutral and switched live), providing full isolation of the fan circuit when in the off position. The metal rocker is colour-matched to the polished chrome faceplate and marked clearly with ON and OFF positions.

The polished chrome finish offers high reflectivity and pairs well with chrome taps, towel rails and bathroom fittings in contemporary and modern interiors. The premium-grade steel construction carries a 25-year warranty and is certified to EN 60669-1 and EN 60669-2-4 standards. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for general indoor use outside bathroom zones 0, 1 and 2.

A fan isolator switch allows you to isolate the electrical supply to an extractor fan independently from the lighting circuit, making it safer to clean, maintain or replace the fan unit without needing to switch off power at the consumer unit.
