What is the difference between 1-way and 2-way switching?

A 2-way switch allows you to control the same light from two different switch positions, such as at the top and bottom of a staircase or at either end of a hallway. A 1-way switch controls lights from a single position only. This 4-gang 2-way switch provides four independent circuits, each controllable from two locations.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 16mm back box depth is required for installation. This shallow fitting depth makes the switch suitable for partition walls, dot-and-dab plasterboard installations, or retrofit projects where deeper back boxes cannot be accommodated.
