Description

The Knightsbridge EX001T is a 100mm extractor fan with an adjustable overrun timer set between 2 and 30 minutes, designed for wall or ceiling installation in bathrooms, kitchens and WCs. The 74m³/hr extraction rate (20.55 litres per second) removes moisture and odours from typical 2-4m² bathrooms and small utility rooms, while the 35dBA noise level at 3m keeps mechanical noise low during operation.

The overrun timer continues extracting after the light or isolator switch is turned off, ensuring moisture is fully cleared from bathrooms and steam is removed from kitchens after cooking finishes. The timer dial on the fan body sets the duration between 2 and 30 minutes depending on room size and moisture levels. Installation requires a 100mm circular cut-out in the wall or ceiling, with the fan body recessing 63mm behind the surface and the white polycarbonate grille adding 22mm projection from the wall once fitted.

The double-insulated Class II construction requires no earth connection, simplifying wiring where earthing is not readily available. The IPX2 rating allows use in bathrooms outside the direct spray zones (zones 0, 1 and 2). The fan meets Building Regulations Part F (ventilation) and Part L (energy efficiency) and carries BS EN 60335 certification.
