Description

The Knightsbridge 100mm extractor fan vent is a white polycarbonate louvered grille with an integral flyscreen, designed to terminate 100mm (4-inch) round ducting runs on internal or external walls. The vent accepts both rigid and flexible duct connections and sits flush against brickwork, blockwork or cavity walls once the 100mm circular aperture is cut.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and other spaces requiring mechanical ventilation to the outside, the vent pairs with standard 100mm axial extractor fans and inline duct fans. The louvered design allows air to exit while the mesh screen behind the louvers prevents insects, debris and larger airborne particles from entering the duct when the fan is not running. The front grille is removable, allowing access to clean the flyscreen without disconnecting the duct.

The 152mm square faceplate projects 16mm from the wall surface once installed, with a recessed depth of 48mm behind the wall to accommodate the duct connection spigot. The white polycarbonate construction resists UV degradation and moisture, making it suitable for both sheltered external walls and high-humidity internal installations. The material is lighter and more impact-resistant than metal grilles of equivalent size.

Can it be used on external walls?

Yes. The polycarbonate construction resists UV and moisture, making it suitable for sheltered external walls. The louvered design helps shed rainwater, though the vent should not be installed where it will face direct driving rain without an overhang or cowl.

Is the flyscreen removable for cleaning?

The front grille is removable, which provides access to the flyscreen mesh. This allows the screen to be cleaned without disconnecting the ducting behind the wall.

Does it work with flexible ducting?

Yes. The vent accepts both rigid and flexible 100mm round ducting. The spigot on the back of the grille is designed to accept a push-fit connection from standard 4-inch duct.
