Description

This 100mm extractor fan vent is a black polycarbonate grille with seven louvered slats and an integral flyscreen, designed to terminate 4-inch round ducting where it exits through an internal or external wall. The louvered slats allow air to pass through whilst directing airflow downward and preventing rain ingress when fitted externally.

Designed for residential bathroom, kitchen and utility room ventilation, the vent fits a 100mm circular cutout in masonry, plasterboard or timber-framed walls. The front grille is removable via four corner screws, allowing the flyscreen mesh to be cleaned or replaced without disturbing the ducting connection. The 48mm recessed depth accommodates the duct spigot connection behind the wall surface, whilst the 152mm square faceplate sits flush against the wall with a 16mm projection from surface to outer edge of the louvres.

The polycarbonate construction resists UV degradation when fitted externally and tolerates temperature variation without cracking. The black finish suits dark render, brick or cladding where a white vent would stand out. The flyscreen mesh behind the louvres prevents insect ingress into the ductwork whilst maintaining adequate airflow for typical 4-inch bathroom or kitchen extraction fans rated up to 100m³/h.
