Description

The Zero Round Vertical canopy is the round ceiling plate that Zero Round Vertical pendants hang from. It comes in a white finish, measures 39.5cm across and stands just 3.8cm high, so it reads as a slim, quiet disc on the ceiling rather than a bulky box. It gives no light of its own: its job is to power the pendants hung from it. Inside is a built-in driver, made up of three 60W drivers, which runs from the 230V mains and feeds the pendants at 24V DC, so there is no separate driver to fit in the ceiling.

It belongs to the Zero range and carries up to three Zero Round Vertical pendants, each sold separately; they are the light, and the canopy does nothing useful without them. Three pendants from one plate suit a long dining table, a generous hallway or an open living area, where a single ceiling point has to carry more than one light. The canopy is for indoor use in dry rooms. The drivers dim by DALI or push, so the pendants can be run from a DALI lighting control system or dimmed from a push-button switch, whichever suits how the room is wired.

There is little to it beyond what it needs to do: a flat white plate with fixing points for the suspensions, over a low round body that houses the drivers. The white finish sits quietly against a white ceiling and draws the eye down to the pendants rather than to the fitting. As a mains fitting, it is wired in to the 230V supply and is for a qualified electrician to install. One practical note before you order: plan your pendants first, as the canopy has three outlets and carries up to three Zero Round Vertical pendants from a single ceiling point.
