Description

The Zero Round Vertical canopy is the round ceiling plate that holds and powers the Zero Round Vertical pendant, three of them from one fitting. It is black, 39.5cm across and 3.8cm tall, so it sits slim and close to the ceiling, a flat disc rather than a bulky box. On its face are three pairs of small fittings, one pair for each pendant's cable and suspension. The canopy gives no light of its own: its work is to carry the pendants and feed them power, and all the light comes from the pendants you hang from it.

It belongs to the Zero range and is made for the Zero Round Vertical pendant. You will need up to three Zero Round Vertical pendants to hang from it, each sold separately; the canopy gives nothing on its own without them. Inside it are built-in drivers, three of 60W each, which take the 230V mains supply and feed the pendants at 24V DC, so the pendants draw their power from the canopy itself. The canopy carries no IP rating and is for dry indoor rooms only. It suits any dry room where you want three pendants hanging together from one neat plate, with a single tidy fitting on the ceiling instead of three separate ones.

The canopy runs on mains power and is wired in by an electrician, so it is a fitting for a qualified electrician to install. It is dimmable by DALI or push control: your electrician can connect it to a DALI lighting control system or to a push switch, and because the drivers feed the pendants, the dimming reaches all three. The black finish keeps the plate quiet against the ceiling and lets the pendants take the eye. As a practical note, plan the canopy and its three pendants together, and agree the dimming method with your electrician before the work begins.
