Description

Venexia is a compact outdoor pendant light in a Corten finish, a deep rust-red tone. A slim cylinder hangs from a fine cable and meets a flat round plate, and beneath the plate sits a clear disc that carries the light. The pendant is 22cm across and 11cm tall, with a round canopy 10.4cm across and 3.7cm tall. The light source is an integrated 8W LED giving 594lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 80, so there is no bulb to buy or change.

Rated IP65, Venexia is made for outdoor use, so it suits a covered porch, a pergola over a patio or a garden table where you want warm light hung low over a meal. It works just as well indoors, over a dining table or in a living room, where a small pendant gives a warm glow without a large shade taking up the space. With a maximum drop of 300cm, you can set it high under a porch ceiling or bring it down to a comfortable height over the table. We like it where the same pendant can run from a dining room out onto the terrace beyond, so inside and outside feel of a piece.

The pendant runs on mains power at 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. It is Class II, which means it is double insulated. It is not dimmable, so it is not one for a dimmer circuit; it gives its full 594lm whenever it is switched on. The Corten finish carries through the cylinder and the plate, giving the pendant one even colour against the clear disc. Before it goes up, measure from the ceiling to where you want the disc to hang, since any drop up to 300cm is possible.
