Description

The Velorin Small is a 500mm alabaster wall light built around a vertical panel of natural Spanish alabaster set behind a soft white metal channel, with a slim brass strip running down the visible edge. An integrated 12W 3000K LED hidden between the alabaster and the front channel washes light upwards, downwards and through the stone itself, so the panel reads as a glowing vertical line rather than a fitting with a visible bulb.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and either side of a bathroom or dressing mirror, the compact 120mm width and 110mm projection let the fitting sit on narrower wall sections without dominating them. Mounted in pairs at 1500-1700mm centre height, the Velorin Small frames a mirror or doorway. Used singly along a corridor, it provides soft ambient wash light without the directional glare of a downlight.

The natural Spanish alabaster shows gentle veining and tonal variation that becomes most visible when the LED is on, with mineral clouding inside the stone catching the light unevenly. The soft white metal frame is finished to a low-sheen powder coat that holds clean against painted walls, while the vertical brass accent adds a single warm metallic line to break up the white. Cabling and fixings are concealed behind the back plate.

Does the Velorin Small need a bulb?

No. The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting and runs directly from the 230V mains. There is no separate lamp socket and no bulb to purchase or replace.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

The fitting does not carry a published IP rating, so it should not be installed in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2 where direct water contact is possible. It can be used in a bathroom outside the splash zones, or in any other dry interior location.

What size wall does it suit?

At 500mm tall and 120mm wide, the Small Velorin suits narrower wall sections such as the space beside a bedside table, between two doors in a hallway, or flanking a mirror. For wider walls and double-height spaces, the larger Velorin sizes give better visual proportion.

Does each piece of alabaster look the same?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining pattern, mineral clouding and tonal variation differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone and becomes most visible once the LED is switched on.
