Description

The Valmora is a 650mm table lamp built around a stacked cylindrical form: a grey marble base with soft white veining at the bottom, a polished brass cylinder above it, and a 380mm grey PVC drum shade on top. A slim brass stem connects the brass section to the shade, and a small brass finial caps the assembly. The fitting uses a single E27 lamp socket housed within the upper section.

Designed as ambient and accent lighting for living rooms, bedrooms and entrance hallways, the Valmora suits console tables, sideboards and bedside cabinets where a defined vertical accent is wanted alongside other lamps or decorative objects. The 380mm shade diameter casts a wide pool of light downwards onto the surface and softer light upwards, making it suitable for general room lighting rather than focused task work.

The natural marble base means each lamp shows different veining patterns and tonal variation across the grey stone, so no two pieces look identical. The marble gives the base genuine weight and stability on a tabletop, while the polished brass cylinder above provides a warm metallic break between the stone and the neutral shade. The grey shade keeps the colour palette tonal, letting the marble and brass carry the visual contrast.

What bulb does it take?

The Valmora uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K typically gives a comfortable ambient light that flatters the brass and marble tones.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The lamp itself does not include an inline dimmer, but it can be paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch or smart plug to vary brightness. Check bulb and dimmer compatibility before fitting.

Does the marble vary between lamps?

Yes. Each base is cut from natural grey marble, so the white veining, density and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

How is the marble base cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water and dry immediately. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, bleach or polishing sprays, as these can etch or stain the stone surface.
