Description

The Valentina S/24 is an LED pendant light with a wavy, leaf-like shade that rises and dips around its edge. The shade is finished in Black & Copper: smooth black on top, with a copper-coloured underside formed in soft tiers that ripple out from the centre, and the structure is in Copper. It is made from aluminium and iron. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.5W and gives 510 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and fabric true to colour. The light shines down from beneath the shade, which is 24cm across.

At 24cm across, this is a pendant to hang low over a dining table, where several in a row give an even line of light along its length. It also works over a side table in a living room, beside the chair where you read. The drop runs from 20cm to 200cm, so it works under a low ceiling as well as a tall one, hanging at the height your table needs. It dims on a compatible dimmer, as it is TRIAC dimmable, so you can soften it for a slower evening meal. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It runs on 230V mains, is wired in by a qualified electrician, and is a Class I fitting. It comes with a choice of canopy, the Surface canopy or the Recessed canopy, so you can pick the one that suits your ceiling, and the canopy is 11cm across. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps, who paired a dark, smooth top with copper-toned tiers beneath, so the shade looks quiet from the side and glows warmly from below. When you order, choose your canopy, and let your electrician know which dimmer you plan to use, so the two are matched.
