Description

The Tubino is a slim LED table lamp in a brushed bronze finish. It is built around a single narrow cylindrical head, held at an angle on a short arm from its upright stem. It stands 48cm tall on a round base 10.4cm across, and the head is 4cm across and 23cm tall, so the lamp takes up very little room on a small table. A red cable loops from the top of the head to the top of the stem. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.5W and gives 339 lumens from the lower end of the head.

We see it on a bedside table, or on a side table by the sofa in a living room, where a lamp this size gives useful light for reading without crowding the surface. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K, and you choose one when you order. 2700K is the warmer, softer white for winding down in a bedroom, while 3000K is a touch crisper for reading in the living room. Either way, a CRI of 90 means colours, book pages and fabrics look true under it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The Tubino plugs in and runs at 230V, so there is no wiring to arrange: stand it within reach of a socket and it is ready to use. It has step dimming, so the light drops in steps rather than smoothly, which lets you bring it down to a lower level for the evening. The brushed bronze finish has a fine, even grain and a soft sheen, and it carries through the head, arm, stem and base for one clean, unbroken look. Because the LED is built in and draws only 6.5W, there is no bulb to replace and it costs little to run. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket.
