Description

The Street 8 is a compact LED track spotlight: a slim cylindrical head on a short black stem, made to hang from a track. It is 4.4cm in diameter, 10cm long and 15.9cm tall, and we offer it in White, Black, Brushed Bronze or Brushed Brass, each in a 2700K or 3000K version. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. Its 15W gives 1100lm through a 24° beam, set back inside the head behind a honeycomb grille, and a CRI of 90 keeps food, timber and fabric close to their true colours.

A kitchen is where it earns its place. A run of spotlights along the track can pick out a worktop, an island or open shelving, and the 24° beam keeps each pool of light neat and focused. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use. It is a system fitting and needs three parts, each sold separately: the Street 8 48V track it fits, which carries power to every spotlight on it; a Street 8 48V power supply for the track, which feeds that track; and a remote 48V DC driver, not included, which converts mains power to the 48V DC the spotlight runs on. A qualified electrician should install the system.

It runs on mains power through its track, at 48V DC, and it is a Class III fitting. It dims through DALI, so plan for DALI control on the lighting if you want to set the level. You choose the colour temperature when you order: 2700K gives a warmer light for evenings, while 3000K is a touch crisper over a worktop. Whichever finish you pick, the stem is black, so the head carries the colour. Plan the spotlights, track, power supply and driver together, so your electrician can fit the whole run in one visit.
