Description

The Somerton is a single-light outdoor wall lantern with a curved arm, dome-shaped verdigris shade and a clear glass cylinder housing an E27 bulb fitting. The body is handcrafted from solid brass with a verdigris finish that replicates the natural patina copper develops over decades of weathering, giving the lantern an aged, oxidised appearance straight from installation.

Designed for external walls on porches, front doors, garage entrances and garden outbuildings, the Somerton carries an IP44 rating for outdoor use in sheltered positions. The curved arm projects 240mm from the wall, positioning the light source forward of the mounting surface to cast downward and outward illumination. The clear glass cylinder protects the bulb from wind and rain while allowing full light output from vintage filament-style LED bulbs or traditional incandescent lamps up to 60W.

The verdigris finish is applied to raw solid brass and will continue to develop a natural patina over time when exposed to outdoor humidity and temperature variation, deepening the aged effect.
